This recap is for the White Division of the Girls Catholic Athletic Conference
Season Summary :
One of the deepest conference/divisions in the Northern Illinois area, the White Division touts many solid programs that were above .500 with great talent. Resurrection won the conference but had 4 teams chasing them that ended within 2 games of the top spot. The division has teams in Class 2A and 3A. Below is a rundown on how far teams advanced in the State Tournament
Class 2A – Depaul Catholic -Sectionals
Class 3A – DeLaSalle and St. Francis advanced to Regional Finals
St. Joseph’s – Sectionals Bishop McNamara and Resurrection both advanced to the Sectional Finals

2018-19 Season Sneak Peek
In a conference full of young and talented players , the GCAC White will see a youth movement of contributing players on each team in the division Providence Catholic and St.Francis will be the conference favorites as they have the deepest rosters . Bishop McNamara, Regina Dominican, Resurrection will look to be competitive and round out the top half of the division.
2018-19 Stock Risers
Ashley Ramer Providence Catholic: Ramer a 5’11 sophomore has ability to score inside and out. She will be tough for most conference opponents to defend as her shooting range extends all the way out to the 3 point line.
Katelin Chaparro St. Francis: A 5’5 guard , Chaparro is one of the best shooters in the division . Only a sophomore she led the Spartans in scoring a handful of times during the season . She will be recognized as one of the top players in the division this season.
Avery Downes Depaul College Prep : At 5’10 Downes is one of the most athletic players in the conference. She will be a force offensively in the post for the Rams next season as well as anchoring their defense.
