She has been high on the list of many college coaches since she first burst on to the scene as a freshman at Whitfield High School in St Louis. As a 6’0 guard she was the leading scorer in the St Louis area as a junior putting up over 24 points per game. During her junior season she shot 61% from the field including 40% from behind the 3 point line.She led her team to a 3rd place finish in the Missouri class 3 state playoffs. Aijha is also an outstanding passer and rebounder that can affect the game in many ways. She is known as a very athletic guard that can create her own shot. She is excellent in an up tempo game and really attack in transition.She is currently ranked 7th at her position in National rankings and is listed at # 22 overall. She earned a spot on the Adidas Select team this year that represented our country in Italy. She has also earned a spot on the USA U18 National team that will compete in the FIBA Americas tourney August 1-7th.

Blackwell will finish off her AAU summer sessions with Team St Louis on the Adidas Gauntlet and enter her senior season looking to bring home a State Championship trophy to Whitfield before she heads off to one of these outstanding schools.
