Abi Tarrant is one of these talented players. She is a small forward and shooting guard from John Glenn High School. Tarrant plays grassroots basketball for the Michigan Cagers.
Tarrant has skills that lead to success. She is a natural leader that teammates like to follow. Tarrant leads both vocally and by example. She’s a gritty player who will never be outhustled. If there is a loose ball, Tarrant will be the first player on the floor to get it. She’s an excellent defender who can be called on to get big stops. Tarrant plays excellent on ball defense and understands and thrives under team defense concepts.
Abi Tarrant is always striving to improve as a player. She is constantly at work trying to improve her shooting, and is currently doing daily shooting workouts. Tarrant is also in the weight room lifting as well as playing AAU events with the Michigan Cagers.
Tarrant is eagerly anticipating the coming high school season. It will be an opportunity for her to showcase her skills and versatility. Tarrant is looking forward to playing point guard and being a leader on and off the floor. She is excited about getting the chance to lead her county in rebounds for the second consecutive season.
Abi Tarrant has the potential to someday be a valuable addition to a basketball program and university. She can bring energy and hustle to a team. Tarrant can provide a college team with a player who is supportive of her teammates and willing to sacrifice for the good of the team. She would like to play college basketball at any level in the future. Off the court, Tarrant she envisions herself becoming an osteopathic surgeon.
Tarrant is on a successful path in and out of athletics. She is motivated by her Dad. “greatest motivation to achieve these goals is most definitely my dad. From waking up in the morning to shoot before school at the gym to rebounding and letting me work on moves in 90 degree heat trying to get me out of my own head. He always supports me and my decisions and wants the best for me and I want to do my best for him. Going to play college ball is my dream but I’m going to push to go farther to make him proud.
