This is strictly for entertainment purposes, and I realize there are probably several additional girls who could qualify for each of these teams, but I selected the five ladies who I thought stood out the most to me when I was able to see them play. I made sure to not include a player on more than one team, and this article only includes girls in the Class of 2019. Please enjoy, and again remember, I have acknowledged there are several other players who could be considered for any of these teams.
Madison Jones of Western Boone
TEAM ENERGIZER BUNNY
Those players who always bring constant energy to their teams.
This team had as many candidates as any, but I thought these five were entertaining and a joy to watch because of the energy they bring, whether they’re in the game or on the bench.
Grace Waggoner of Rivet
TEAM SWISS ARMY KNIFE
Those players who exhibited as much versatility as anyone.
There were quite a few candidates for this team as well, but these five ladies demonstrated the ability to affect a game in a variety of ways on a consistent basis.
Maddie Nolan of Zionsville
TEAM MICROWAVE
Those players who can get hot quick and put up points in bunches.
Everybody likes to score, and there are several players in the 2019 class who can score the ball. These five players stood out as the group who can score ten in a row or 30 points in a game when they get rolling.
Lilly Hatton of North Harrison
TEAM BUILT FORD TOUGH
Those players who play with a great deal of toughness and grit.
Indiana is blessed with a lot of tough-nosed, feisty girls, who really get after it. These five, to me at least, stood out above the rest. Several of them play much bigger than they are.
Kinnidy Garrard of Pike
TEAM WINDEX
Those players who rebound, block shots, or both, at a high level.
Obviously, a lot of candidates for this team were sizeable interior players. These ladies stood out as the better glass cleaners (shot-blockers, rebounders, or both). They definitely pose a major presence in the paint.
Taylor Klenner of Whiteland
TEAM JOHN DEERE
Those players who help their team win any way they can.
This team is very unique, in that it’s built from reliable, hard-working, tough, versatile kids who are willing to take on whatever role is asked of them to help their teams win…a blue-collared approach.
