From top to the bottom of this list and beyond the Northern Illinois area is loaded with talented players and deep teams.
The Top 10
Starting at the top with Benet Academy, the Redwings are a talented group that includes Brooke Schmarek and Lexi Moriarty and a tremendous amount of depth in all 5 positions. Included in the top 10 you see the traditonal powers that include Montini who returns Sami Mitchell and Sydney Prochaska and Maine West with their dynamic duo of Rachel Kent and Angela Dugalic. Both teams are poised to have big regular seasons and will be contenders come Feburary.
The Next Bunch 11 thru 25
While not in the top 10, #12 Chicago Kenwood, #18 Mundelein Carmel and #21 Bollingbrook have young talented squads that can compete with any team in their respective class. Keep an eye on Kenwood’s Brianna McDonald (2022), Mundelein Carmel’s Ranya Jamison (2020) and Bollingbrook’s Treasure Thompson (2020) as they will all look to lead their teams to the next level.
