Some players were targeted early and others have that breakout midway through their careers. These are some players that have went from local celebrities to national superstars raising their value over the past year.
Madison Scott – 6’1″ – Wing – Bishop McNamara
When talking about raise stock I don’t think anyone has risen as much as Madison Scott. She has went from up and comer in the WCAC to a hot commodity nationally over the course of one summer. Her skill level has caught up to her skill and athleticism making many draw comparisons to former DMV All-American and WNBA star Jonquel Jones. She is only a junior but the sky is the limit for her if she keep progressing at this pace.

The argument is being made whether Angel Reese, only a sophomore, is the best player in Baltimore. After a freshman season of being the sidekick to the all met seniors Mia Davis (Temple) and Nia Clouden (Michigan State), Angel enters her second year as the main event on the top high school in Baltimore, St. Francis Academy. She had notched up a few double doubles as a freshman, we are expecting it to be a typical night as she looks to lead her team to another conference title.
Mir McLean – 5’11” – Wing – Roland Park
It seems like every five or six years a kid pops up with so much athleticism that she leaves you scratching your head in amazement, welcome Mir McLean to the scene. She made a huge splash over the summer with her high flying theatrics, now it’s time to bring the air show back to Roland Park as they try and overtake their conference rivals for the IAAM title.

Hope Evans – 5’5″ – Point Guard – Bishop McNamara
Hope Evans of Bishop McNamara is one of the most dynamic perimeter players in the region. The Mustangs are deep but Hope adds a true point guard to the mix that will open up the game for the plethora of scoring options that they could bring with multiple lineups. With so many weapons to dish to and the ability to score on her own I can see Hope with quite a few breakout games this season.

The old saying of just keep doing what is right and good things will happen applies when speaking of Eniya Russell. Her stock rose by just doing what she has been doing since middle school, making plays. She one of those special players that can do it all, score, pass, defend, you name it. IND typically plays an aggressive schedule because of what she brings and this season is set to be a special one for her and the team.
