Multiple girls have a legitimate chance to attain McDonald’s All American status and more than a handful of girls are being recruited by power 5’s already. The recruitment for the 2020 class has been aggressive and consistent as coaches from all over the country have flown in to see the players featured below. These five players get a lot of recognition, but there is a lot of depth in the junior class. Subscribe the Prep Girls Hoops for the entire rankings and future articles!
Introducing 2020 class:
Hailey Van Lith, 5’7, PG, Cashmere HS- The pride of Cashmere, Washington is built as competitive and aggressive as they come. There is no harder working individual in the state than Hailey Van Lith. The lefty point guard can break defenders down using the triple threat position, or off the bounce just as well. She excels as an on-ball defender hounding the opposing team’s point guard and forcing turnovers. Hailey’s resume includes two runner-up finishes at adidas Nationals, two 1A State Runner-ups and two gold medals with Team USA. Uconn, Baylor and Louisville are just a few of the schools aggressively recruiting her.
Dalayah Daniels, 6’4, PF, Garfield HS- In a class loaded with highly ranked forwards/centers, Dalayah has remained on top for some time thanks to her high ceiling. Her wing span, mobility and first step are impeccable. Her ability to defend multiple positions and then get out and finish on the break is something Washington does not see very often at 6’4. Dalayah is constantly working on her outside shot and ball handling, as she finds herself on the perimeter as much as the post. The 3A First Team All-State player has Oregon, Oregon State, Duke and countless other top programs after her.
Keeli Burton, 6’3, P, Eastlake HS- The junior post is one of the most physically strong players in the state. She has soft hands, quick feet in the post and range out to the three point line, which catches many defenders by surprise. Keeli participated on the adidas USA Select team, which played against National teams in Europe last summer. She is now focused on leading Eastlake to a 4A State Championship after a big summer. Keeli is verballty commited to Head Coach Charli Turner Thorne at Arizona State University.
Jordyn Jenkins, 6’2, PF, Kentridge HS- Jordyn has been causing issues for opposing Washington posts for many years now. She is a mixture of pure strength and mobility. When her motor is turned all the way up, she is a load for any defender to handle. She won a 4A State Championship as a freshman and is a favorite to win this year’s as well. Multiple Power 5 schools are after her talents, including hometown UW.
Jayda Noble, 5’11, G, Mt. Spokane HS- Simply put, Jayda Noble is a super athlete and ball player! She is one of the best rebounding guards in the state using her long arms, strong frame and explosive jumping ability to snatch rebounds. Jayda fills up the stat sheet across the board and can dominate a game doing all of the little things on the floor. She gets great elevation on her jump shot and is at her best when she is being aggressive looking for her shot, as she is already an excellent and willing passer. The super-recruit decided to verbally commit to the University of Washington.
