Here is a look at more impact freshmen arriving this season:
Catherine Vance (PG, Powers Catholic)
Vance is a scorer who Powers Catholic will rely on. She is an intense defender. In fact, Vance takes pride in accepting the challenge of defending her opponents top perimeter player.
Ellie Toney Ellie Toney SF Corunna | 2022 State MI (SF, Corunna)
Toney has the makings of a Division 1 prospect. With continued development, skies the limit. Toney is an elite athlete who plays with a team first and hustle mentality.
Kailynn Dixon (SG, Taylor)
Dixon is an under the radar prospect, but is VERY athletic. She has elite level leaping abilities. Dixon is developing into a top notch rebounding guard.
Mya Petticord Mya Petticord 5'9" | PG Arbor Prep | 2022 State #33 Nation MI (G, Arbor Prep)
Petticord will be an absolute force in Michigan for the foreseeable future. She had 33 points in her opening game. Petticord is an elite floor leader and shooter. She’s a solid defender who creates turnovers.
Izzey Hadley (SG, Clarkston)
If you haven’t heard her name yet, you certainly will over the next 4 years. Hadley is a good shooter who can launch of the dribble or the catch. She is a strong ball handler as well.
Dav’i Matthews (PF, Ann Arbor Pioneer)
Matthews is one of the top post prospects in the class of 2022. She’s simply a difference maker when on the court. Matthews will have an immediate impact in the paint for Pioneer.
Abby Kimball (G, West Catholic)
Kimball is looked at as a Division 1 prospect. She’s a pure shooter who will continue to develop and expand her game. Kimball is a leader above and beyond her years.
Jordan Wright Jordan Wright 5'6" | PG Ann Arbor Huron | 2022 MI (PG, Wayne Memorial)
Wright will be leaned on heavily for a young but extremely talented Wayne Memorial squad. She is under the tutelage of one of the top coaches in Michigan, Coach Mitchell. Wright is an aggressive player who thrives playing north-south basketball.
Amanda Roach Amanda Roach CG Hartland | 2022 State MI (PG, Hartland)
Roach has come out firing in her first high school season. She has shown the ability to shoot from deep, as well as finish at the rim. Roach began the season in the Hartland starting lineup.
