The No. 6 Tigers are littered with elite talent, including Maryland recruit Zoe Young and senior sharpshooter Shea Fuller. Plummer, a junior, has been integral to the team’s success, too, while averaging 7.4 points and 4.2 rebounds per game.
It’s her ability to can the 3-ball and her selflessness on the court that makes Plummer such a threat.
“I’d say I’m probably best at 3-point shooting, and I think I’m just best at being a good teammate out there on the floor. I like to see my teammates succeed, and I’m pretty good at communicating with them on defense,” said Plummer.
She added: “Our season has been going pretty good so far, we’ve only lost twice. I do play with one of the better players in the state and country with Zoe Young, and we also have some other good seniors, like Shea Fuller. My role on the team is to get them the ball and put them in the best position they can be in.”
Plummer’s personal goals are simple: make shots and remain self-assured, “Personally I just want my 3-point percentage to be high and to really just play with confidence every game,” she said.
As she heads into her 17U spring and summer in 2019, Plummer could see her recruitment begin to ramp up. She says Division II program Northwest Missouri State has been showing interest already.
“I just hope to find a college that’s a good fit for me,” said Plummer. “And I just want to play at the highest level that I’m capable of.”
