Angel Reese – 6’2″ – St. Frances Academy
Angel ReeseAngel is a prolific scorer and rebounder. She is considered by most to be the best player in Baltimore. She has a unique ability to get to the basket even if the lane is not actually available. She can navigate and change speed in traffic and make shots at seemingly impossible angles. Angel can play anywhere on the floor and is very dangerous when attacking the basket as it seems to always end in a basket a foul or both.
Madison Scott – 6’2′ – Bishop McNamara
Madison ScottMadison is the x-factor for the Mustangs. She has improved every area of her game in the past year. At 6’2″ with her skill set she is a mismatch for virtually every player she faces. She is a special player that can play five positions on the court on both ends. Defensively she uses her wing span to deflect passes and block shots. She is ranked number two in the class but still hasn’t reached her full potential yet, it’s scary how good she can actually be.
Mir McLean – 5’10” – Roland Park
Mir McLeanMir probably the most athletic player we’ve seen in the DMV. She is relentless on the boards, rebounding well by just outjumping everyone. She doesn’t shy from contact getting to the line very frequently were she is a really good free throw shooter. Mir is quickly becoming a national name with her aerial theatrics which seem to draw a crowd of college coaches.
Elizabeth Martino – 5’11” – Riverdale Baptist School
Elizabeth MartinoLiz will have to put this season on ice while she recovers from an ACL injury. She considered by many to be the best shooter in the area. Rumors that she has a shooting machine in her house has been going on for years now. She has length, is dangerous from beyond and can put up points in bunches. We expect her to be fully healed by the summer and spending time on the “Gun” while in recovery.
Liatu King – 5’8″ – Bishop McNamara
Liatu KingLiatu is quietly probably the second most athletic player in the DMV, she does so many things well. She can knock down shots from all over and is deadly in the mid range. At 5’8″ she is one of the best rebounders in the region and she is a great defender in the perimeter and in the paint. With so many weapons at McNamara defenses can lose site of her if they don’t stay focused and Liatu will definitely make them pay for that mistake.
