Malu Tshitenge-Mutumbo – 6’4″ – Center – St. John’s College (#4 overall)
Malu Tshitenge-MutumboMalu is one of a dying breed and most sought after true centers. The fact that she is long has the timing to block and alter shots makes her that much more valuable. Malu will play for Sylvia Hatchell next year at the University of North Carolina and she is already making plays that with will likely see on television next year. The niece of NBA Hall of Fame center Dekimbe Mutumbo (who’s been to some games) she will block a shot keeping the ball in bounds and sprint the floor for a bucket on the other end. The plays are eerily similar to plays her uncle made that she obviously is too young to have seen play live. Malu has a great engine and seems to have fun playing the game.
Rayne Tucker – 6’1″ – Forward – Riverdale Baptist School (#11 overall)
Rayne TuckerRayne has seemed to have found her home with the Crusaders after spending spending time at both Elizabeth Seton and Good Counsel. She is a rebounding machine but she’s not a classic big. Rayne can work from the high post and wing and knock down shots from both areas. She will be asked to carry the load for RBS as they are really thin in the paint forcing her to sacrifice her perimeter game. Rayne spends a lot of time at the free throw line because of her physicality, this all should pay off as the James Madison commit heads to college next season.
Sydney Faulcone – 6’3″ – Post – Old Mill (#17 overall)
Many have tried to pry the Niagra commit away with promises of a better life in private school and the EYBL but, Faulcone has stayed the course and it paid off for her. Her game has improved each year and she got the offer that she wanted. She has a few post moves that she uses well and has really good interior defense. Her presence on the floor makes Old Mill a state championship contender.
Adrienne Davis – 6’1″ – Post – The McDonogh School (#37 overall)
Adrienne “AJ” DavisAdrienne “AJ” Davis has been a fan favorite in the Baltimore area for years mainly because of her strength and tenacity in the paint. She is strong and physical and gets the job done finishing over defenders of any size. Her desire to crave contact helped her to pick up her first offer from West Virginia as a freshman. She hasn’t picked her school yet but there are several that can use her services out there.
Kobie Scott-Pearson – 6’1″ – Oakland Mills (#42 overall)
Kobie normally wouldn’t be considered as a post but, that’s what she plays on the floor. She’s long, thin and athletic like a wing but, is very effective in the paint. She uses her speed to get around bigger slower posts and her length to athleticism to rise over smaller defenders. Kobie finishes well with both hands making it tough to figure out her next move.
