Chloe Chapman – 5’9″ – PG – Good Counsel (#5 overall)
Chloe ChapmanChloe is arguably the quickest player in the Maryland and has one of the best handles around. The dual sport athlete that will attend the University of Georgia for both basketball and soccer will be sidelined this season after surgery last week to repair a torn labrum. Without Chapman the Falcons will struggle as she was a major piece for their success. Her body of work regardless of injury has her as the top point guard in Maryland.
Makayla Daniels – 5’7″ – PG – Frederick (#6 overall)
Makayla is a scoring machine at the point putting up nice numbers for the Cadets. She is a crafty point guard with a quick first step and a good outside shoot. She will travel to the University of Arkansas next season for college but , this year her focus will be on bringing a state championship home. Makayla has good vision which helps with her assist numbers as she gets around seven a game.
Shanell Haskins – 5’9″ – PG – Capitol Christian Academy (#7 overall)
Shanell HaskinsShanell has been battling a series of injuries throughout her high school career and many haven’t had a chance to see her at 100%. Shanell is extremely skilled as a ball handler and passer making her teammates better. She can easily drop 20 plus scoring performances because of her ability to get to create and get to the basket. She is a good shooter that can knock down open shots from any area on the floor. The Lafayette University commit is healthy and putting up great numbers this year for CCA which put her back in the top 10.
Janiah Henson – 5’0″ – PG – Roland Park (#13 overall)
Janiah HensonJaniah has a good shot and can hit from really deep. Her handles combined with her speed allows her to escape defenders and traps. She has the ability to go from full speed to stopping on a dime for an accurate pull up jumper. Even with her ability to score Janiah is very unselfish which helps in getting her teammates involved and raising her assist numbers. Janiah will be attending Morgan State next season and is projected to contribute immediately.
Aleah Nelson – 5’4″ – PG – McDonogh School (#14 overall)
Aleah NelsonAleah navigates athletically to the basket. She is very skilled at beating her defender and finishing at the rim against taller opponents. What makes her really special is her range as she can make shots from almost anywhere on the floor. She has the ability to get off and make contested shots consistently even when off balance turning simple plays into highlight reels. Aleah will be lacing up her shoes at the University of Cincinnati next season.
