I made the trip out to Springbrook High on a cold Tuesday evening to check out some Montgomery county action. Sherwood's team has gotten off to a great start so I wanted to see what the buzz was about. The game started with a 10-0 run by the home team with most of the damage being done by senior guard Astou Seck. The visitors finally settled into a rhythm and led after one quarter, 16-15. They seemed to be in full control of the game with a 35-25 lead at the half, thanks to three players scoring 11 points. Late in the third Springbrook rallied to tie the score at 45 after three quarters. The last quarter was a battle but freshman guard Angela Nnabue was too much for the Blue Devils to handle. Sherwood escaped with a 61-55 win.


Angela Nnabue Lived up to the Hype

The freshman guard was all over the court contributing in many different ways. She ended up with 24 points, scoring all of them on drives to the basket, short jumpers and free throws. I was very impressed with how many ways she impacts the game on both ends of the court. She
