“Is she really that tall?” It’s a question we hear often when it comes to the size-large 8th and 9th graders who arrive on the scene, often with great fanfare. College coaches everywhere are desperate for bigs so it stands to reason that they would pay extra attention to these early risers. But as is the case throughout basketball, heights tend to be embellished by an inch or two or more, mostly by coaches and vested observers but very rarely by the players themselves.
