Continue ReadingThe class of 2020 was a highly anticipated class dating back to early middle school. The size and talent across the board was impressive at an early age. The “hype” has most definitely come to fruition in high school and the now juniors do not show any signs of slowing down. Multiple top prospects are already off the board and the recruiting battles are already heating up. These juniors cannot sign until the Fall of their senior year. Below are five prospects that have given verbal commitments to Division 1 schools already.
2020 Keeli Burton, 6’3, P, Eastlake HS- Keeli is the true definition of a power forward. She has natural strength that cannot be taught or trained for. She finishes with power inside, but also displays some finesse at times that catches most people off guard. She has very good hands snatching rebounds and entry passes to the post. She also has a shooting touch that can extend to the three line. She will be taking her talents to Arizona State University.
2020 Jayda Noble, 5’11, G, Mt. Spokane HS- One of the state’s best defenders and athletes, regardless of class. She has an ideal Division 1 frame and uses it to make mind-blowing plays defensively. She can push the ball in transition and has a nice spin move in the paint that she can score off of. She elevates very high on her jumper and is on balance on every shot. Her versatility on the floor makes her a game changing type of player. Jayda has committed to the University of Washington.
2020 Meghan Fiso, 5’10, SF, West Seattle HS- One of the better mid-range shooters in her class. Meghan gets to her spots using her strength from the wing position. She is a high IQ basketball player and does well within the half court game. A participant in Jamal Crawford’s Invite Camp, Fiso will be following in Jamal’s footsteps and playing at the University of Michigan in a couple years.
2020 Ragan Reed, 5’7, PG, Lake Stevens HS- The star point guard of Lake Stevens has been one of the more talented guards in her class for years. She has a slick handle and is shifty in the open court. She can make shots from deep and make momentum shifting plays. She will be headed to Boise State University after graduating.
2020 Kinsley Barrington, 6’1, PF, University HS- The left-handed forward has put together a really solid junior campaign at U-High. She is a strong rebounder and can provide some shot-blocking presence in the paint. She runs the floor pretty well and can finish with strength inside. Kinsley has given a verbal commitment to Southern Utah University.
