When we made revisions last summer to the way we add players to the individual rankings, one of the goals was to expand the number of ranked players in the sophomore class a little later once they had the opportunity to establish themselves as bonafide varsity players. As we update the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2021 rankings now, that objective has been realized and 25 new players have made the prospects list for the first time. That brings the total number to 125. Here are some players who have made their mark this winter.

TOP 5 MOST NOTABLE NEWCOMERS

#74 – Hayden Glander of Norwood-Young America is a big, strong 5’11 forward who can handle it and score the basketball. She is NYA’s leading scorer at nearly 20 ppg on a team with more than 20 wins. When we saw her at Kasson-Mantorville Hayden scored 37 and was dominant.

#76 – Courtney Nuest of Becker is a position-less player who is averaging 10 points per game but makes her presence felt across the
