The She Got Game Combine continues to be a hit as the President’s Day version brought out a lot of talent from several organizations. Players were eager to learn and get better while competing against some of the top middle school players in the area. Lead trainer Keith “Shot Doc” Veney along with Shamon Antrum and Darren McLinton were on hand to orchestrate the skills and drills for the day. This session took place at Elizabeth Seton High School in Bladensburg Maryland and Prep Girls Hoops was on hand viewing the talent. Although, there were more than was a lot more than ten impressive players in the building PGH would like to mention ten that stood out for various reasons.
12 Standout Players:
Gabrielle Kennerly – 2023 – Guard – MD Shooting Stars – MVP
Gabrielle KennerlyGabrielle was phenomenal from the start to the finish of the combine. She was a standout participant in previous combines and we well prepared on what to expect. The 8th grader looked like the most advanced player in the camp and was able to score at will without being selfish. She shot the ball and attacked well and had good vision keeping her head up on her dribble.
Kennedy Harris – 2023 – Point Guard – BWSL Black Widows
Kennedy HarrisKennedy has a very good shot form and has the accuracy to be a threat out to the three. She drives really well and has a pretty good handle on the ball.
Lauren Ceresini – 2024 – Combo Guard – Classics
Lauren CeresiniLauren had good size and used her body well to attack. She seemed physically stronger than most of the others at the combine. She showed a good shot and passed well. She was one of the top five players in the building.
Julia Finney – 2024 – Guard – Classics
Julia FinneyJulia was the hardest working player in the gym giving up full effort in the drill work. She shot the ball really well and has a nice rotation on her shot. She drove and passed the ball nicely during the day.
Ella Moore – 2024 – Point Guard – Classics
Ella MooreElla had some tough finishes that she made in traffic. She was good at keeping the play going after contact and finishing. She is a lefty with a good outside shot.
Dashani Coleman – 2025 – Guard – Team Takeover
Dashani ColemanI was impressed with how Dashani played under control even when pressured. She didn’t looked rushed as she made good plays throughout the day driving and finishing.
Chyanne Harris – 2025 – Combo Guard – Team Takeover
Chaynne Harris
Chaynne is very skilled. She excelled in every drill exercise and was good at knocking down shots when open. The energy that she brings to the court is infectious making her one of my favorite players to watch.
Jordyn Steindl – 2025 – Shooting Guard – Team Takeover
Jordyn SteindlJordyn has a good shot and it helped to open driving lanes for her after knocking a couple down. She finished well around the basket.
Kennedy Austin – 2025 – Guard – Undecided
Kennedy AustinKennedy was good in taking the ball in transition after the rebound and finishing. She has really good speed to navigate through traffic.
Eyan Bailey – 2025 – Point Guard – Team Takeover
Eyan BaileyEyan was got better as the camp went on and started to show her skill during the 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 scrimmages. She is a pretty good ball handler and has a nice set shot.
Sidney Turner – 2026 – Forward – Undecided
Sidney TurnerSidney deserves a mention for if nothing else her potential. The 10 year old was amongst the youngest in the camp but standing around 5’10” she was also the tallest and had a more mature body than anyone there. She never backed down from a challenge and was good at the rebound put back game. Her developing shot has good rotation, she is a player to watch moving forward.
Brianna Easterling – 2026 – Combo Guard – Team Takeover
Brianna EasterlingAt a listed 4’5″ Brianna was the tiniest player in the combine but, she played with the biggest heart. She dug in on defense creating turnovers even chasing down and diving for loose balls. When left open she can knock down outside shots .
