WIAA State Tourney Quarterfinals: Prairie vs. Edmonds-Woodway (Top Performers)
The 3A number 1 seed Prairie Flacons took on the number 15 seed Edmonds-Woodway Warriors. Prairie came into this game as a favorite, but EW held their own in the first half, trailing 21-19 at the half. The Falcons really got things rolling in the second half with a healthy balance of inside and outside scoring from multiple contributors. Prairie has been impressive every game that I have seen them and they did not disappoint in half number two, winning 58-39. Here are some of the top performers from the Prairie vs. Edmonds-Woodway quarterfinal game:
Some of the top performers:
2019 6’3 P Brooke Walling (Prairie HS) had one of the best individual performances of the state tournament thus far. She led the game in scoring at 21 points, including 5 made three-pointers. The Fresno State signee performed exceptionally well in front of Fresno State Associate Head Coach, Mandi Carver, who was in attendance.
2020 6’0 W Kendyl Carson (Prairie HS) is an athletic wing player and x-factor for the Falcons. She gave Prairie 12 points to go along with 4 boards and 3 assists. Overall, she played a well-rounded game.
2020 5’4 PG Allison Corral (Prairie HS) is one of Prairie’s floor general and did a good job of balancing getting her teammates easy looks and scoring when the opportunity presented itself. She scored 9 points and grabbed a big 5 rebounds at 5’4. All 9 of her points came off of 3’s.
2019 5’9 G Rebekah Dasalla (Edmonds-Woodway HS) put up a good fight for EW. She led the team in scoring at 16 points, while shooting 50% from the field.
2019 6’0 G Adrienne Poling (Edmonds-Woodway HS) did not have her absolute best performance, but she was still an impact player on the floor. The senior guard chipped in 8 points for the Warriors and made a couple of big threes to keep EW in the game in the first half.
