It’s extremely early in the process but the class looks to have some solid depth to it and there is already one D1 commit in the group. Here is a breakdown of the top 10 our 2022 Class Rankings:
- Cassidy Rowe, Shelby Valley – Limited to just 4 games in her freshman season, Rowe is already a well known name in Kentucky girls basketball. Committed to Kentucky since the summer, Rowe starts the inaugural rankings in the top spot.
- Tiffanie Floyd, Moore – Coming off a season where she averaged 12 points and 4.6 rebounds per game, Floyd has a lot of potential as the next great player to come out of Louisville. To take the next step in her development, Tiffanie needs to become a more efficient scorer than what she showed this season.
- Halle Langhi, Marshall County – After leading Marshall County in both scoring and rebounding as a Freshman, Langhi could draw the eyes of college coaches this summer. She possesses great size at 6 foot tall and great genetics as her dad/high school coach was a great player at Vanderbilt.
- Jaya McClure, CAL – Despite missing a quarter of the season due to injury, McClure checks into our rankings in the top 5. Jaya shows potential as a nice scoring point guard after being 4th on the team in scoring as a freshman. She has a high ceiling and could wind up highly ranked like her teammate Shelby Calhoun.
- Patience Laster, Franklin County – Nearly averaging a double-double as a freshman, Patience finished her first year of high school with impressive averages of 10.5 points and 8.6 rebounds. Laster has good positional size and a nose for the ball. Her ability to finish around the rim will only get better as she gets stronger over the next few years.
The Next 5:
- Daisha White, Butler – Playing a limited role as a freshman, White should see her playing time and scoring load increase over the next three years.
- Caty Armishaw, Tates Creek – Leading scorer and rebounder for the Lady Commodores as a freshman this year, Armishaw is only going to get better as she develops and grows into her 5’11 frame.
- Tyra Flowers, George Rogers Clark – Playing a decent role on an upperclassman dominated team, Flowers will be one of the premier players in the 10th region next season if she develops over the next 9 months.
- Anaya Brown, Lafayette – Another promising post young player in Lexington, Brown put up solid averages of 7 points and 7 rebounds and will just keep getting better as she starts to get stronger.
- Kennedy Lee, DuPont Manual – The next Manual post player after they lose Nila Blackford to graduation this year, Kennedy will have a chance to step into the starting post role next year and could double her freshman season averages of 4 points and 5 rebounds.
