Continue ReadingTo begin the game the both teams were trading baskets. Difficulties began to show for Millwood once the Lady Falcon got in to foul trouble in the 1st half. The Lady Falcons had two of their main players in foul trouble, which played a role in the offensive aggressiveness of Millwood. Although Millwood had some players in foul trouble, they continued to stay on the court because their defensive presence.
Meanwhile, Adair was looking to make some buckets from their usual ways. The shooters shots were not falling and the drivers were not finishing lay ups plus Millwood defense to help force difficult shots. The Lady Warriors started to captilize on the foul troubles from their opponents but Taliyah Grambling began to find her way back in to the flow of game. Towards the end the 1st half the Lady Falcons started to overcome those issues as Nykale Cramer made some huge plays for Millwood to end the half up by 2 points.
In the beginning of the 3rd quarter, Millwood came out well with making shots and defense stops. Soon after, the Lady Warriors flipped a switch and everything seemed to fall for Adair. The ball was mostly seen in Autumn Hines hands as she made the correct play to either score the basket or set her teammates up for an easy basket or wide open shot.
During the 4th quarter, the Lady Falcons continued to have foul trouble with having one player foul out. In most of the game Grace Johnson had been trying to get to the rim but lay ups were not falling. Not to mention the difficult shots due to defense from the Lady Falcons, but in the 4th her drives and lay ups began to be successful. Meanwhile her teammate, Sophie Bagby, finally connected a 3-pointer to seal the run for Adair in the 4th quarter to win the game by 13 points in regulation.
