Notebook:
• Brooklyn Thomas (6’0” / G 2021 / Kipp Columbus): Thomas is very athletic, and may be able to play a couple positions at the high school level. A good ball handler, Thomas has nice physicality that helps her out perform on offense. A noticeable quick first step that can get the defender off balance. Can be the primary creator if needed, but also works well off the ball.
• Emma Brown (6’0” / Post 2022 / Thomas Worthington): With good size at the freshman level already, Brown had a mismatch often at the showcase. She was able to catch inside feeds cleanly, and finish well on either side of the lane. The freshman will be a defensive fixture as she has long arms, rim protecting ability.
• Adamari Figueroa (5’8” / W 2021 / Whitehall): The 5-foot-8 wing guard has a good handle to the game. Can move the ball around the perimeter well, also setting screens. Fights tough for rebounds, also getting a couple extra possessions. Also, has the ability to score off the bounce. Would like to see the sophomore shoot it some more from deep.
• Rachel Hartman (6’1” / 2021 / Grandview): Hartman’s a good rebounder already, often a mismatch for her age group. A longer frame, Hartman may be a defensive specialist down the road. Can score through the lane well off the inside feed, which is the primary go to.
• Reid Dunbar (5’6” / G 2021 / Thomas Worthington): Dunbar was impressive from the guard spot on Sunday. Making the right play often, Dunbar has the instincts you want in a guard already. Able to drive through the lane with good control and finish with contact. A solid ball handler, as well as feeding the post when needed. The sophomore was impressive.
