• Pickerington Central (27-1): Back in a familiar place, the state final four. Just a year ago, the Tigers took it all home. There’s a good chance that happens again this season. Basically running through the postseason to date, the lady Tigers are playing some great ball. Including a convincing 66-39 win over Reynoldsburg to advance to the final four. Pick Central has a nice future D1 combo of Madison Greene and Maliya Perry. These two give the Tigers a great all around game, at the wing and lead guard spot. Many teams will have trouble matching up with them, and that’s been the case thus far. The Tigers will be taking on Notre Dame Academy, out of Toledo. At 23-5, Academy is proven as well. This will be a tough one on the line, for Pickerington to advance to another state championship game.

• Africentric (26-0): Africentric couldn’t be touched this season. Playing in division three, year after year the Lady Nubians still put it on D1 teams. Such as a 47-45 win over Newark, at the end of the regular season. The Nubians have something no one else has, and that is Jordan Horston. The future Tennessee Volunteer is maybe the best player in the country, and is a walking triple-double threat. No team has been able to come close to Africentric in the postseason yet, with their closest game a 20 point win over Liberty-Benton. Destined for another ring, they will take on Berlin Hiland in the state semifinal. A powerhouse in their own right, keep an eye on that one.
