The depth of talent is very strong from top to bottom, where as some other classes may be more top heavy. Prep Girls Hoops has compiled a list of where girls from all around the state will be playing at the next level. We have gone though all 23 student-athletes going Division 1 and now we turn our attention to the D2, D3, NAIA and National Juco signees.
Level of play (D2, NAIA, etc.) is noted for each player-
2019 6’1 C Emily Nelson (Mt. Spokane HS) – I’ve had the opportunity of watching Emily play in the high school and club ball setting for many years and I have no hesitation is stating Saint Martin’s University (D2) got a good one. Emily is a physical post player that will give an all out effort versus any matchup. She does not openly get too down when things do not go her way, which is a rare trait for players. Her motor runs high and she will only get better under Christy Martin’s mentorship ar SMU over the next four years. *Feature image
2019 5’8 G Kiara Brooks (Timberline HS) – An athletic guard that will make a stop at National Juco, Eastern Arizona to hone in on her skill set and expand on her four-year opportunities.
2019 6’0 PF Symone Brown (Kamiakin HS) – One of the state’s most athletic and active players has signed to Central Washington University (D2). Her motor and length should make her an impact player at CWU in time.
2019 5’6 PG Mady Simmelink (Central Valley HS) – A quick and high level shooter that has been a flat out winner in her four years at Central Valley. Mady looks to continue her winning ways at Concordia University (D2).
2019 6’0 F Maisy Williams (Black Hills HS) – The star of Black Hills will be playing at Central Washington University in the Fall. She has a solid frame and a high ceiling as her all around game continues to develop.
2019 5’11 SF Jenna Troy (Inglemoor HS) – Another Central Washington University signee. Jenna proved her ability to score at the high school level and hopes to do the same for CWU.
2019 6’0 PF Genesis Wilkinson (East Valley HS) – A physical and strong post presence! Genesis was dominant at the 2A level for East Valley. She has signed to Carroll College (NAIA D1).
2019 5’11 F Molly VanderBrink (Bellevue Christian HS) – After a successful high school career that saw a lot of “W’s” in the win/loss column, VanderBrink is headed off to Colorado Christian University (D2).
2019 5’3 PG Eastyn Reeves (RA Long HS) – The speedy and high IQ point guard will be playing at Oregon Tech (NAIA D2).
