Continue ReadingThe 2019 class in Washington has truly been a joy to watch over the course of the last 4 years. The depth of talent is very strong from top to bottom, where as some other classes may be more top heavy. Prep Girls Hoops has compiled a list of where girls from all around the state will be playing at the next level. We have gone though all 23 student-athletes going Division 1 and now we turn our attention to the D2, D3, NAIA and National Juco signees.
Level of play (D2, NAIA, etc.) is noted for each player-
2019 5’7 G Samaiyah Tolliver (Garfield HS) – The 18 point per game scorer recently committed to Alaska Fairbanks (D2). At 5’7, she has very long arms and is capable of getting a lot of deflections and steals. On the offensive end, she is wired to score and the Fairbanks coach staff shouldn’t mind that, if she is able to put up numbers anywhere close to her high school career.
2019 6’1 F Taylor Stephens (La Center HS) – The versatile forward was capable of posting triple double games at the high school level. Her inside-out versatility will make her a valuable piece at Central Washington University (D2).
2019 6’1 PF Clare Eubanks (Chiawana HS) – The Tri-Cities star is committed to Northwest Nazarene (D2) of the GNAC. NNU is coming off of an unbelievable season at 29-3 and Eubanks hopes to continue the winning ways when she steps foot on campus.
2019 5’9 G Nicole Gall (Richland HS) – Nicole is a solid guard that can play both sides of the ball well. The first-team all league performer is the second of 5 players in D2 Northwest Nazarene‘s 2019 recruiting class.
2019 6’1 F Megan Taylor (University HS) – The stretch forward from U-High will be playing at Whitman College (D3). Consistently one of the top programs in the Northwest Conference, Whitman will be able to utilize Megan’s shot blocking ability on defense and pick and pop potential on the offensive side.
2019 6’0 SG Lauren Vreeken (La Salle HS) – The versatile guard will be on campus at Pacific University (D3) after graduation.
2019 5’7 G Haley Hansen (Camas HS) – Yet another Northwest Nazarene commit from the Evergreen State. Haley completed a successful high school career and will join NNU, who was ranked 10th in the country at one point.
2019 6’2 PF Caitlin Monten (North Creek HS) – Caitlin averaged a double-double for two years straight in high school, grabbing 11 rebounds per game. She has signed to The Master’s University (NAIA D1).
2019 6’1 PF Ellie Salisbury (Sumner HS) – The final Northwest Nazarene (D2) signee from Washington. Ellie is a good athlete that is only scratching the surface of her potential in basketball.
2019 5’7 PG Karmelah Dean (Roosevelt HS) – The superstar point guard from Roosevelt put on a show at this year’s 3A state tournament. She recently signed with the College of Southern Idaho (National Juco) with hopes of moving onto a 4-year in the future.
2019 6’2 P Lexi Intong (Juanita HS) – The KingCo MVP has committed to Pacific University (D3). She will provide a strong and physical post presence for the Boxer’s.
2019 6’0 F Karli Oliver (Ridgefield HS) – Karli is headed to George Fox University, one of the best D3 programs in the country. The former Head Coach, Michael Meek, recently took the job at the University of Portland. A new leader of the program has yet to be announced.
