There are a few girls that I am specifically questioning their position. I think they all have potential to rise in the rankings but I need to watch them a few more times before making my decision. Here are the top 2020 guards to watch this summer!
Anna Ostlie #7 Chaparral
Anna Ostlie really impressed me with her play making ability and handles at the Main Event. This performance made me question myself. Is Ostlie a top 5 player? I think she could be but would love to see her play a few more times before making a decision. If she can play as well as she did last week, she is for sure a top 5 player in the 2020 class. She may even be the second best guard in the 2020 class, she certainly looked like one of the top guards in the state at the Main Event. Her IQ is unmatched and she can make plays for herself or her teammates. She has tight handles that allow her to get her defender off balance and attack the basket. Once she attacks, she either finishes or dishes it to an open teammate.
Senya Rabouin #3 Shadow Mountain
Senya Rabouin is the best guard in AZ, regardless of class in my opinion. She is a top tier guard and has the IQ and passing ability to back up my claims. So what am I questioning? She is ranked #3 overall after all. I feel like she has potential to be even higher. I think her skill could definitely be deserving of a top 2 ranking, I just need to see her play a few more times before making a final decision. Senya is a must watch, she is so fun to see play and makes some high level passes.
Miracle Brown-Jeter #5 ALA-Ironwood
I really want to see Brown-Jeter play more. She had a ridiculous stat line last season but she does play at a smaller school. I really want to see her go up against some of the top talented guards in Arizona. I believe that if she played against some top guards, she would more than hold her own. This was the major reason we put her at #5 on the 2020 rankings. If she demonstrates that she can hang with the other top guards on the list, she will definitely rise in the rankings.
