I had big expectations for the class of 2022 coming into the season, fully expecting several members of this outstanding class to make major contributions. They did not disappoint and I want to take this time to recognize a few of them. 

This was a tough decision because several youngsters had banner seasons, but the votes do not lie. One player stood out from the start of the season to the end, which came at the final four for her team.

FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR: Ny'Ceara Pryor, Western

13 points a game, 7 rebounds and 3.4 steals per game while shooting 53% from the field will usually put you in the conversation for some awards. Ny'Ceara "Lil Mama" Pryor was a terror on defense and sparked her team all year long. She is only 5'1" tall but it doesn't usually matter because she brings back memories of Mugsy Bogues in his high school days. She picked up her first division one offer during the season so things will only get better for her.
