Throughout an entire season, performance is always being valued and critiqued. Many witnesses the performance of athletes on the court. The way they pass the ball, great defensive stances, creative dribbling moves, cool finishes or whatever the entertaining part may be, that’s all we get on some of players. We dig a little deeper into who some of these players are who received some sort of post-season recognition or honor. Whether one made a First Team, All-City, Honorable Mention, etc., now we dive into learning a little more about a some of our POYs or otherwise known as Player of The Year.

Jaki Rollins was named the Central Oklahoma Athletic Conference (COAC) Freshman Player of the Year for the 2018-2019 season. Her ball-handling skills are showcased by her ability to drive to basket a threat. Streaky from the 3-point line, all of the attention Rollin draws allows her to get her teammates involved leading to assist. She has a nice quick first step to drive which results in a lay-up or the pull up jumper to the middle.
