She’s never the most physically imposing girl on the court, but her combination of skill, speed, IQ, toughness and competitiveness, especially her competitiveness —means she’s usually the best on the court. If you’ve seen her play, you know her killer instinct is precise and, apparent in her numbers and her team’s play. Only playing half of her high school season due to the Arizona AIA transfer rules, we were not able to see this young talented player shine fully. Only participating in the second part of the 2018-2019 high school season. Early helped the Mustangs make the 1st round of the playoffs falling short to a tough Chandler High School program. Still obtaining the 6A, 2nd team all-region honors considering her games played were limited.
Entering the summer of her Junior year, Rachel currently plays for a solid AAU program. Coached by the 2017 Mesquite State Champions, Varsity Coach Candace Gonzales, Team Arizona. This Weekend in the Battle in the Desert tournament, Early scoring double digits in several of her games. She stood out by her hustle and long range shooting. The leadership position she takes on the floor every game shows every possession. Rachel is A TRUE leader even off the court. She is admired by her peers at school obtaining the roles of Freshman and Sophomore Student Body Class President. She is the best illustration of a Student Athlete. Rachel Early is a player to watch over these next few years check this Mustang OUT.
