The Final 4 featured a powerhouse program Adrian Lenawee Christian, who squared off with Fowler in the semifinals. In the other Final 4 game, a battle tested St. Ignace squad defeated a game Kingston team. Adrian Lenawee Christian topped St. Ignace 48-46 in a classic of a championship game.
There were many girls that played Division 4 high school basketball that made great sacrifices during the 2018-2019 season. They worked for months to become the best players and teams that they could be. There were many high quality players to consider for the 2018-2019 Prep Girls Hoops Michigan Division 4 Player Of The Year.

Player Of The Year
Bree Salenbien (2021, SF, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
The superstar wing player is an elite talent on a national scale. She’s a high IQ player that excels in big moments of the game. This season, Salenbien averaged 24 points per game and 7 rebounds per game. She helped lead Adrian Lenawee Christian to its second consecutive state championship. Salenbien currently holds college offers from programs such as Michigan State University and the University of Michigan.
Honorable Mention
Emily Coveyou (2019, St. Ignace)
Coveyou had nothing short of a special season. She’s a versatile scorer and attacks the glass from the wing. Coveyou was simply amazing over the course of the state playoffs.
Scout Nelson (2019, G, Mt. Pleasant Sacred Heart)
Nelson is a big time athlete and scorer. She’s half of possibly the greatest brother and sister basketball combo in Michigan.
Kelsey Richards (2020, Fruitport Calvary Christian)
Richards put up solid number despite constantly playing through double teams. She helped lead her team to its first ever regional title.
Dani Salenbien (2020, PG, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
She’s a lead guard who is responsible for running the potent Adrian Lenawee Christian offense. Salenbien is one of the most intelligent and efficient players in Michigan.
