#1 Jess Finney 5’11 Chaparral
Our #1 spot goes to Chaparral’s Jess Finney. Finney has a lot of upside due to her skill and physical gifts. She stands at 5’11 which is a very good height for a guard at this age. She can a great ability to score the ball, averaging 21 points this season. She can also stuff the stat sheet quite nicely, averaging 4 assists, 8 rebounds, 2 steals, and 2 blocks per game.
#2 Madison Connor 6’0 Perry
Connor can do a lot of things similar to Finney just has not put up the same high level stats. Connor is no slouch though! This season, Connor averaged 18 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals per game. I love the upside in her game, standing at 6 foot as a sophomore.
#3 Aly Stedman 5’9 Pinnacle
Coming in at #3 is Pinnacle’s Aly Stedman. I am a big fan of her game, as I see her as more of a true point guard. Don’t get me wrong, she can score, averaging 15 points per game this season. However, I think she’s best suited as a pass first guard who can run an offense. This season, she averaged 15 points, 4 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 block per game.
#4 Kamryn Doty 5’5 Sabino
Doty did’nt put up the most amazing stats this season but she is more than deserving of being in the top 5. Her potential was high enough to bring her up in the conversation for the #1 spot as well. She holds an offer from South Carolina State. This season, Doty averaged 13 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. I want to see her up her scoring and assist averages before putting her in the top 3.
#5 Sydnee Mortensen 5’7 Williams Field
Mortensen rounds out the list at the #5 spot. Mortensen is more of a scoring guard but I’d like to see her round out her game this season. I want to see her up her assist numbers while also greatly decreasing her TO/g. This season, she averaged 15 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals, and 5 turnovers per game.
