After a whole month of some high intensity AAU ball, we thought it was time for the rankings to get a much needed touch up. You will see some players make their debut on the list, some players greatly rise, and some players consequentially fall. I would like to update our rankings every month to keep a more accurate and comprehensive ranking. Here are the biggest movers and shakers in the class of 2022 for the guard position.
#5 Overall Trayanna Crisp 5’7 G Millennium (Previous Ranking: 15)
Trayana Crisp was one of the most highly requested players to move up from the last rankings. I will admit, that I initially ranked her too low after seeing her play in a couple of tournaments. Crisp is one of the best guards in the class of 2022. I think she is in store for a big summer and an even bigger high school season.
#8 Alani Encinas 5’7 G Buena (Previous Ranking: 10)
Alani Encinas is a really intriguing prospect. She has good size but I really am impressed with her handles and passing. She’s not much of a scorer but I have seen her shoot the ball well on occasion. Her play making ability and tight handles are what really moves her up on my rankings. I think she could really develop into a really good guard.
