AAU Weekend Recap: May 10-12 (FREE)
AAU season is in full swing. Most teams have played several tournaments at this point and some players are seeing their stock rise with each passing weekend. Mother’s Day Weekend is a pretty popular weekend for big tournaments. Many of Kentucky’s top programs were in action this weekend. Here’s a recap of the action from this past weekend.
Kentucky Storm Elite was in action at the USJN Queen City Challenge in Cincinnati. They had a great weekend, ultimately winning two championships. The 2020 Roller team posted a 3-1 record. The 2021 Anderson team also went 3-1 but captured a championship. 2021 Reinhart had a perfect 4-0 weekend and won the championship. Lacey Bradshaw led the team while averaging a double double with 13 points and 12 rebounds per game. Laci Reinhart put up an impressive 12 points and 8 assists per game. Sabrina Delbello, Morgan Flanagan and Sarah Hicks all had strong weekends for the Reinhart squad on their way to the championship.
Kentucky Premier’s group of rising 8th graders was in action this weekend at the Henry County Roundball Classic. 2024 Premier – Carter came away with the championship.
Central Kentucky Storm won the Adidas Silver Championship in Chicago over the weekend. The Storm are a talented bunch that can compete with any of the best in the state.
South Central Basketball Club 2024 won the Gold Championship at the Midwest Explosion. Their 2022 team lost in the semifinals of the Diamond Bracket. Their 2021 team also fell in the Diamond semifinals, finishing the weekend at 3-2.
