A couple hundred colleges were in attendance throughout the weekend from high major D1’s on down to National Jucos looking for quality prospects. The 40 teams were split into 8 different pools with showcase style games played among the teams in each pool. Below is a quick recap of who did well in each pool!
Pool A: All in 17u Truding: 4-0 record for the Illinois based program. All in displayed a team full of skill players that can run their system well.
Pool B: Minnesota Stars: 4-0 record. The stars are quickly gaining momentum as not only one of the best teams in the midwest, but the entire country.
Pool C: Indiana Elite Platinum: 3-1 record. The Indiana based squad finished first in their pool, suffering only one loss to Fresno Lady Heat, who placed second due to tie-breaker rules.
Pool D: Arizona Elite Black: 4-0 record behind high major recruit 2020 6’4 F Alexandra Zelaya. The adidas All-American has size, inside-out skills and an ideal Division 1 frame. Arizona Elite should be right in the mix come nationals in July.
Pool E: NW Blazers Orange: 4-0 record behind 5-star recruit 2021 5’11 G Talia von Oelhoffen. The Blazers are consistently one of the top programs in the Gauntlet and showed no signs of slowing up this year.
Pool F: Books and Basketball 17u Platinum: 4-0 record for the New York based program. In their second year in the Gauntlet, Books and Basketball has quickly established themselves as a legitimate contender to win the Gauntlet with their high level athleticism.
Pool G: Cincinnati Angels: 4-0 record for the squad out of Ohio. The Angels have as much foot speed as anyone in the Gauntlet. They utilized a pressure-filled defense to turn teams over and create easy transition opportunities.
Pool H: Texas Elite Prime: 4-0 record. Texas Elite is historically one of the very best programs for adidas. Texas Elite won all four of their games by 9 points or less.
