We will take our third look at a few of the players from Michigan that made a statement during the live period. It’s important to remember that this list is not all inclusive. There will be players not on the list that had big weekends. There may be players that scored more points, played in bigger events……etcetera. It’s just what one persons take on what happened over the weekend of the first live period.
Alli Carlson (2022, PG, East Grand Rapids, MBA 2022)
Carlson was at The Clash In Cincinnati vwith MBA 2022. She was a key in the teams 5-0 record over the weekend. Carlson showed a diverse game that and made it incredibly difficult to find a weakness.
AJ Ediger (2021, F, Hamilton, West Michigan Drive 2021/2022)
Ediger was at the Windy City Classic with her West Michigan Drive team. Ediger was just being Ediger over the weekend. She’s a stat sheet stuffer and an elite prospect on a national level.
Myonna Hooper (2022, PG, West Bloomfield, HYPE Coltrane 15u)
“Myonna Hooper shows amazing leadership as a true point guard with the ability to finish at the basket. With her graduating in 2022, she will definitely be one to watch as she not only knows how to score but she knows how to create for her team to score.” – Doc Cornell
Abbey Kimball (2022, G, Grand Rapids West Catholic, MBA 2022)
Kimball was impressive at The Clash In Cincinnati. She showed the ability to play effectively on or off the ball. Kimball was able to set the offense and shoot off the dribble.
Aaliyah Nye (2020, SG, East Lansing, Michigan Storm Elite)
Nye turned heads at the GUAA. Her combination of athleticism and pure shooting was extraordinary. Nye always seemed to be in control and playing at a comfortable pace.
Abi Tarrant (2021, G, Bay City John Glenn, Michigan Cagers 2021)
There weren’t many guards at the Windy City Classic that I’d rather have the ball in the hands of. Tarrant is an intense defender and a definite 2 way player.
Morasha Wiggins (2021, G, Kalamazoo Central, Michigan Crossover)
Wiggins was showing off her talent at Boo Williams. She showed all weekend why she should be considered an elite 3 level scorer. Wiggins has a high basketball IQ that’s evident when watching her.
