Over the first live period, they traveled to Milwaukee, Wisconsin to play in the USJN Windy City Classic. Games were held in the Wisconsin Expo Center. The event featured some of the top grassroots teams in the Midwest.
Michigan Premier Open Blue went 3-0 in pool play. The 2 undefeated teams from the top 2 pools played in a crossover championship game. Michigan Premier ended up playing a fellow state of Michigan team, the Michigan Mystics Showtime. They trailed most of the championship game, but their determination and grit helped them gut out a 61-56 win. The Michigan Premier Open Blue team ended the weekend with a 4-0 record and brought home a USJN Windy City Classic championship.
Roster
The Michigan Premier Open Blue team has one of the most impressive rosters in the Midwest. The have elite scorers, ball handlers, and shooters. They feature defensive stoppers who have the versatility to guard multiple positions. Even with all of this individual talent, they play outstanding team basketball. The roster isn’t just full of great basketball players. There are many multi sport athletes and excellent students as well. Every player on the Michigan Premier Open Blue team has multiple college offers.
