Combo guards are those who can play a combination of multiple guard positions and/or possesses the skill set of each position type “hence the word Combo”. Each of these players perform what needs to be done on both ends of floor regardless of their opponents’ position due to their high skill set. Top Guards from the first live period in Texas.
#14 Morgan Kennedy, Junior, 5’10, Guard, Classen SAS HS, OKC Lions Elite
A player that can do everything on the court. Her 3-point shoot is very consistent with a fluid touch in her shot. Due to her shooting ability, allows her to drive to basket as she usually draws defenders to get the lay-up. She added to her mid-range game doing baby pull up jumpers. On the defense end, she keeps her hands up and out the entire time.
#2 Myka Perry, Freshman, 6’0, Guard, Norman HS, Team Lex
Myka does a little of everything. I especially love her ability to handle the ball in using her dribble skills to either counter the defense or bypass defenders based on what’s available to her. She does not force shots at all and uses her body extremely well to lift for the lay up on the drive and in general.
#0 Toni Papahronis, Freshman, 5’9, Guard, Edmond North HS, Oklahoma Swish
Handles the ball extremely well from all levels. In transition, from the perimeter, 15 foot and in. She handles so well that she’s able to always create for herself and teammates. Move after move, and the ability to consistently make the 3 pointer, basketball does not look hard for Toni.
