Class of 2020
- Anna Hall of Civic Memorial/ Hawks Elite. Anna is a 5’11 forward that will play the 4 at the next level. She is athletic and strong. She excels in the post but can run the floor well also. Her face up game has improved each year as has her outside shot.
- Megan Hallemann of Greenville/ Blue Star Renken 17u is a 6’4 4/5. She is long and still a bit thin. Megan needs to continue to add strength and mobility to maximize her talents. She is a force on defense protecting the rim. She has expanded her range on her shot to the 3 point line. Megan is definitely a player to watch due to her size/upside.
- Makayla Best of O’Fallon/Hawks Elite is a 5’6 guard. She plays off the ball but shows the handles to play the point too. Makayla is very strong and skilled. She is an excellent defender and passer. When her shot is falling she is really hard to guard. Her strength will get her into the lane if you have to play up on her.
- Bella McCartney of Jacksonville Routt/Illinois Inferno is a 5’10 forward. McCartney is a small college coaches dream. Bella can play inside and out and has an endless motor. She excels on the offensive boards. She has played the 4 in high school and excels at posting up smaller defenders.
- Kayla Gordon of O’Fallon/Hawks Elite is a 5’3 point guard. She is very fast with the ball and finishes well. Kayla is adept at finding ways to finish in the lane over taller defenders. She is a willing passer and has a reliable outside shot. Kayla is a spark plug that can definitely play at the next level.
- Rylee Luechtefeld of Nashville/ Blue Star Renken 17u is a 6’1 forward. She is an interesting prospect as she can hit the 3 but is a force on defense. Rylee has long arms and a knack for tipping passes and blocking shots.
- Kirsten Huffman of Jacksonville Routt/Illinois Inferno is a 5’7 guard. Kirsten can really shoot it at all levels. She can really stretch the floor to create room for the bigs to operate. Kirsten was named a pool all star at the last USJN event. She should be on the radar for NAIA/D3/JC.
- Kristyn Mitchell of Collinsville/Blue Star Renken 17u is a 6ft forward. Kristyn is a string girl that can post up. She has a nice outside shot and isn’t afraid to let it fly from deep. She looks to score and can definitely help a NAIA/D3/JC program looking for a stretch 4.
In addition other programs that I look forward to seeing will have some other girls for this list. I plan to see the Evolution Elite teams, the Illinois Rockets and Illinois Predators.
