Sophie Hart has been on a journey these past couple of seasons. She started out as a big kid with potential. Today she is among Minnesota’s elite prospects. Since we began rating the sophomores in the Prep Girls Hoops Class of 2021, the 6’4 post from Farmington has gone from #22 in 2017 to #16 in 2018 to #11 this winter. Now she moves all the way up to #6 and has the power conference offers to show for it. Her improvement has been vast.

“It has been exciting. I mean, you start to see that your work is paying off through accomplishments,” Hart said recently, shortly after she had made it all the way to the final day at the Team USA U16 tryouts in Colorado Springs. “It has been a cool process. I definitely owe a lot of things to a lot of people who have helped me along the way. It’s not like it’s a walk in the woods by yourself.”
