Downriver Elite went to Brownstown, MI in search of a championship. They played in 2 games that were decided by 3 points or less. Downriver Elite played big in key stretches and won both tight games on their way to claiming the FAAST Slam Jam championship.
Downriver Elite put their talented roster on display at the event. Lilly Johnson ran the show and set the offense and defense while Karrington Gordon was a constant scoring threat. Coach’s Quote
“We had the most success with Lilly Johnson running the offense and Karrington Gordon off the ball. We had great ball movement and player movement. We also fed the post and let Amiah Thomas dominate down low. Our ability to play man to man defense is improving and ultimately led to our success. Limiting 2nd chance opportunities and turnovers also led to our success.” – Downriver Elite
