Our committee consist of (8) members that make up the Rankings group for PGHoops.com/CA. We will continue to update and perfect the rankings, we may not see the game the same way most do, but our system has proved to be very accurate, If I may say. Our main focus is to see everyone we rank, if we did not see you on a circuit event, you will not be ranked, period.
2021, 6’3, SF, Mater Dei HS, Cal Stars Elite NorCal, Brooke Demetre is one of the most versatile small forwards in her class as well as in California. Her strongest strength is her shooting ability, she can shoot the ball from all three levels and she is also capable of putting it on the floor. Her length and body type make her hard to guard, it is usually a mismatch when someone tries to guard her one-on-one. She is playing well on the EYBL circuit and she is playing well for her team of Cal Stars Elite NorCal. She holds offers from Cal, Stanford, USC, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Arizona, LMU, Baylor and Boston College. Brook Demetres EYBL Stats – Click Here
2021, 5’6, PG, Corona Centennial HS, West Coast Elite 17UAA, Jayda Curry is very exciting to watch as a player and as a dynamic scorer on the floor. She keeps you in suspense, she can handle it, she can pass it, she can shoot from about 26 feet and she is a very willing defender. Jayda skill set is very good, she can finish at the rim with both hands and can get you in foul trouble by finishing thru contact on the drive. She holds an offer from SDSU. 2021, 5’7, SG, Mater Dei HS, West Coast Premier Black 17U, Alyssa Frescas is a bonefide shooter, meaning she is a dead-eye shot from deep every time I watched her play. She knocked down 3-pointers from about 26 feet out in a row. She made shots even when they tried to run her off the three point line, she was threat to score everytime she got the ball. Now, I was a bit concerned with her handle, she has to improve at that skill, because at the next level she will probably have to run some PG. She holds offers from George Washington, UCIrvine and UNMexico. Alyssa Frescas State with WCP – Click Here
2021, 6’6, C, Troy HS, West Coast Elite 16UAA, Endigo Parker is a young developing big, but she is the only 6’6 in California right now. She has soft hands, runs the floor like a gazelle and is conditioned to play about 26 minutes of a 32 minute game, which is exceptional for a big of her size. She has good footwork under the rim, feels her defenders on her back and make the right decisions. She recognizes the double-team, she immediately finds the open shooter and is averaging 3 blocks per game for her high school. Her Club team stats are as followed: 8ppg, 10rpg and 4blpg on the UAA circuit. She holds an Offer from Eastern Kentucky University
2021, 6’5, C, Rolling Hills Prep HS,
Cal Sparks
17U EYBL, Clarice Akunwafo is another developing big with great upside in her future. She has a very solid body type, meaning she has a college body rigtht now. She has great finishing abilities under the rim, tough and aggressive as a center on the floor. She is a bully down low and her high school puts her at the top of the press to make you throw the ball over her for a steal. Clarice is still learning to finish thru contact and sometimes need to learn how to throw back out of the double-team. She is the second most skilled center in California at this moment.
