As previously promised in our notes from this event, we now give you the players that absolutely stood out the most due to their performance and potential as a college prospect, in the form of a dream team.
Super Standouts/Dream Team:
Point Guard– 2021 5’7 Trinity Slocum (Mountain View HS) – Very good offensive player that can see a play ahead on the floor. She is a willing passer and floor general, able to play in an uptempo or half court setting. She is also a high level shooter off the bounce and can score from the mid range or three line. She has the attention of a handful of Division 1 schools and Gonzaga’s staff was fully aware of her.
Shooting Guard– 2021 5’11 Niveya Henley (Mt. Spokane HS) – Two way player that can disrupt offensive players with her length and lateral movement. She is also comfortable shooting the three or driving to the basket to score versus contact. Niveya is committed to Butler University.
Small Forward– 2020 6’0 Maisie Burnham (Liberty HS) – Powerful inside-out player that really showed the ability to finish through contact and fouls for that matter. She puts pressure on the defense and can really score the ball in the paint, but runs the floor on the break like a guard. She has multiple Division 1 opportunities, but remains uncommitted at this time.
Power Forward– 2021 6’1 Naya Ojukwu (Mountain View HS) – The most athletic girl in the entire event, hands down. Naya is a very good scorer inside of 5 feet and has a way of getting the ball in the hoop, even when it looks like it doesn’t have a chance. Naya is also a high level rebounder with her strength and jumping ability. She is being actively recruited by Pac-12 schools.
Center– 2021 6’4 Brooklyn Rewers (Lake City HS) – The biggest prospect in the event and a load to handle inside due to her size and willingness to continuously post up. She showed the ability to hit a mid-range shot, but she knows her money is made in the paint. Brooklyn has countless Division 1 schools after her. Her 6’5 sister currently plays at Hawaii.
