Ehlaina Hartman, 5’10”, , Spearville – Emporia State University (Verbal). Averaged 14.3 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 2.6 spg, 2.4 apg. Southern Plains-Iroquois first team all-league.
Katie Horyna, 5’8″, G, Liberal, Ohlde Elite – Abeline Christian. KBCA second-team class 6A all-state in 2018-19, first-team class 5A in 2017-18; Back-to-back Western Athletic Conference player of the year; averaged 14.3 points, 4 rebounds, 2.7 assists. Shooting 45% from 3-point line. Very fast with the ball, effective use of change of pace dribble and cross over to create space to finish, get down the floor in transition, and set up step-back jumper.
Elise Kaiser, 5’10, G, Hesston, Wheat State Elite Kansas Chaos – Newman University. KBCA 3A second-team all-state. Three point shooter with 25′ range. Good crossover to get to the basket on the dribble drive. Finishes well off baseline drives. Works hard off the ball. Can make the athletic shot around the basket with either hand. Good ability to jump passing lanes for steals. Good speed in transition. One of three recent 2020 Kansas commits to Newman.
Sidney Nilles, 5’10”, G, Derby, Ohlde Elite – Newman University (Verbal). Second team all-Ark Valley Chisholm Trail League Div. I. Good quickness, speed, and length help her be very disruptive defensively including on the top of a press. Has the ability to shoot the three as well as hit the wrap around layup off the drive. Averaged 7.1 ppg, 5.3 rpg, 3.1 apg, 2 spg. Joins Ohlde Elite 2020 Pink teammate Gabbie Posch, Hutchinson.
Haven 2020 power forward Faith Paramore fights for rebounding position against a Nickerson defender.Faith Paramore, 5’11”, PF, Haven – Ohlde Elite – Oral Roberts. First team 3A all-state and all-Central Kansas League. Terrific combination of physicality, speed, and talent makes for an extremely difficult match-up. Transitions well from offense to defense, shoots well from three point range, and has a good face-up and back-to-basket game. Her passing ability is the most underestimated aspect of her game. The 2019 3A 800 meters state champion.
Allie Vigil, 5’11”, G/F, Piper, Next Level Eclipse – University of Central Missouri. 3-star ESPNU HoopGurlz 100 Watch List. Selected as KBCA 4A first team all-state and to Sports In Kansas 4A all-state tournament team. Difficult match-up given due to her size; ability to run, see the floor, and to create her own shot on the perimeter or via dribble-drive. Solid ball-handling skills to lead and finish breaks end-to-end. Has 25′ range three-point range and is a strong rebounder with a solid build. Had ACL surgery mid-April 2019. Joins Goddard’s Kade Hackerott as a commit to UCM.
Piper’s Ali Vigil in defensive position off the ball on the block.Emily Weathers, 5’11”, F, Scott City, Ohlde Elite – Emporia State University. Weathers has a knack for being around the ball when it comes off the rim and a sense for where the open spot is in the defense. She has good hands and quick hops, can finish in traffic, and works hard to gain position whether for rebounding or to set herself up to receive an interior pass. In transition she has good speed with the ball. Weathers is a KBCA 3A honorable mention all-state selection and made the Great West Activities Conference first team.
Josie Weishaar, 5’10”, G, Jefferson County North, Lady Prospects – Missouri Western (Verbal). Long frame with great range, she uses it uses her frame well defensively. Weishaar is effective getting to the basket on the drive. Selected KBCA 2A first team all-state.
