What if Michigan’s class of 2021 was picked in the same way that the NBA Draft occurs? Who would go number 1? Who would be a lottery pick? Well, 5 basketball minds got together and did a 1 round draft of the talented players in Michigan’s class of 2021.
THE LOTTERY:
1: Damiya Hagemann (PG, DEPSA)
A true building block with the 1st pick. Hagemann is a franchise lead guard that can throw a pass in small spaces with accuracy and flare.
2: Bree Salenbien (SF, Adrian Lenawee Christian)
Salenbien is a smooth wing with great size. Best of all, she’s a winner.
3: Morasha Wiggins (SG, Kalamazoo Central)
Wiggins can attack the rim off the bounce and get buckets. She’s a high IQ player as well.
4: Jillian Brown (CG, East Grand Rapids)
Brown is a versatile scorer on the perimeter. She’s the type of leader coaches look for.
5: Alana Micheaux (F, Wayne Memorial)
You can’t find a stronger and more physical player in the draft. Micheaux is simply built for success.
6: AJ Ediger (PF, Hamilton)
Ediger at number 6 is a steal. She’s a living and breathing double-double.
7: Ally VanTimmeren (F, Jenison)
This is another pick that speaks to the depth of this class. VanTimmeren is an elite game changer.
8: Arieonna Ware (SF, Battle Creek Central)
The sky is the limit for Ware. She’s an elite wing player in Michigan and has a very high ceiling.
9: Kabrianna Hallman (F, East Kentwood)
Hallman is a versatile forward with nice size. She can guard multiple positions on defense.
10: Kailee Davis (PG, Detroit Renaissance)
This is another pick that shows the depth of talent at the top. Davis might be the quickest lead guard in the state.
11: Desiree Jackson (SG, Detroit Cass Tech)
Jackson just gets buckets. She hunts for points and delivers.
12: Kenzie Bowers (G, Kent City)
Bowers can shoot and has no limits on her range. She can go off and take over a game.
13: Ella Stemmer (G, Saline)
Stemmer is just an all around solid player. She’s a 3 level scorer that can play at any pace.
14: Kaleise Christopher (SF, East Kentwood)
