This list will help you sort through a bunch of games and highlight a couple of key players that I feel you should check out! Here are the top players to watch from Section 7! *List in no particular order
Lexi McNabb 5’5 2022 G Seton Catholic
McNabb has really good court vision and I think she will turn into a play making D1 guard who runs the show. She makes next level passes and sees the court very well. She is quickly improving her shooting ability and scoring ability. Definitely a prospect to watch within the next few years.
Amanda Barcello 6’0 2021 F Seton Catholic
Barcello is one of the most versatile prospects that I’ve seen in the state. She has good size, moves well, can defend 1-5, and shoots the 3. She likes to get on the boards and can score down low. There is no lacking aspect of Barcello’s game, she does everything well.
Marisa Davis-Jones 6’1 2021 F Valley Vista
Marisa is a tough forward who isn’t afraid of banging with opponents down low. She is very strong and it is difficult to keep her from getting to the basket. She is also a tenacious rebounder and defender. Davis has a lot of potential, especially if she can develop more guard skills.
Kennedy Basham 6’6 2022 C Pinnacle
Basham towers over defenders, standing at 6’6. This would usually be enough for a prospect to gain a lot of attention. Additionally, Basham has some skill down low. As she develops more post moves and gains strength, she could turn into one of the top bigs in the country. Basham also has a great sense for the ball and turns away a ton of shots.
Aly Stedman 5’9 2021 G Pinnacle
Stedman is a very well rounded guard. She makes a lot of plays for her teammates and always seems to be one step ahead of the defense. She can also create her own shot and knock it down as well. On defense, she is pretty tough, constantly pressuring her match up.
Tatyanna Clayburne 5’9 2021 G Perry
Tatyanna Clayburne is a flat out scorer. She can shoot from in the gym range! When she gets hot, there is virtually nothing you can do to stop her from scoring. She is also very crafty when attacking the basket. She can absolutely play make for her team but I like her best as a score first guard.
Madison Conner 6’0 2021 G Perry
Conner is another high scoring guard, alongside Clayburne. She also has a lot of range on her shot and is a tough match up for anyone. She can get to the basket with absolute ease. She also is very skilled and has a nice left hand, making it easy to score down low and around defenders.
Kiya Dorroh 6’1 2021 G Sabino
Dorroh has forward size and guard skills. She is probably the biggest guard in the state and is one of the most skilled as well. She contains a lot of versatility, being able to do a little bit of everything well. Shooting, play making, defending, attacking the basket, handles, she can do everything and has 16 D1 offers as of today.
Kamryn Doty 5’5 2021 G Sabino
Doty is usually seen as a scoring guard, which she is certainly capable of and the thought is warranted, but I think she is one of the best play making guards in the state. She has a high IQ and easily attacks and draws in the defense. She knows when to kick the ball to an open teammate and when to attack. She has quick handles and a very nice shot.
Mia Davis 5’11 2023 G Xavier
Davis is an incoming freshman and is already getting a lot of buzz and people are excited to see her in high school. She averaged 37 points a game throughout her middle school career and is looking to continue her dominance in high school. She is absolutely worth the price of admission and you should check her out!
