She caught my eye right away. The 6’6 post class of 2021 was a force down low. Not only did she protect the paint, she scored gracefully around the rim. I was really impressed with how she was able to get up and down the court in transition
Hannah Behrens, SD Network BlueStar
Hannah put together a solid performance at Summer Jam. She showed some versatility throughout the weekend. One college coach mentioned he was impressed with her stepping out to the arc and knocking down some threes. Behrens has always been a hard cover in the paint. Her strength is just that, her strength. Physically making herself a presence has been her MO but this weekend she combined strength with finesse. She commanded the paint with great seals but was able to finish around the rim with great touch. “Definitely one of the bright spots during the weekend.” one coach uttered.
Jessica Mertens and Audrey Rodakowski, ND Attack 17u
Jessica Mertens, ND AttackThis pair of solid and effective posts held their own. They are not overly tall but manage to get the job done. From what I’ve seen Jessica Mertens is the space clogger. However, not with size but with length. She has a long wingspan, which caused fits for the opposition trying to attack the lane. Audrey Rodakowski ran the floor just as well as the guards. She did exactly what you ask of a post. Rim run, post hard and finish. Very effective for ND Attack.
MN/WI Force 2020, Maddie Krieger
Slashed well across the lane and keep the ball high for finishes. It was like she was doing the Mikan drill on the move. Had some great seals, finishing with a few drop steps. Krieger was also able to find shots around the perimeter.
