BBA Fierce competed in the Lake Nokomis division which drew competition from six different states. They would go 2-2 beating Lady Bucks out of Milwaukee and Midwest Force Select out of the Minnesota/Wisconsin border. Their two losses were against MN Fury 2020 Yellow squad and All Iowa Attack Elite. Cheyenne Miller and Brecli Honner have shown tremendous leadership skill with their Fierce squad. Extremely impressed with Honner as she is the youngster of the crew but ultimately the best player on the team
Bear Tail Basketball Adidas Gauntlet team was in the same division. However, they went winless. Primarily due to tons of injuries before the tournament and at the tournament. At one point they only had five players. Tough to over come in a tournament filled with talent. Cadee Ryckman did as much as she could to put her team on her back. She showed relentlessness, poise and character in every game.
Missouri River Elite made it all the way to the championship in the Lake of the Woods division. MRE battled MN Heat all the way down to the wire. The two basically traded baskets the entire game. MRE would lose by one in the title game.
ND Attack went 1-3 in the same division. Their first loss came against MN/WI Force. The matchup looked even however ND Attack seemed to not get shots to fall. The same situation happened in the following game against MN Stars. Great looks and opportunities just couldn’t buy a bucket. It would change by the third game as they caught fire and started hitting from all three levels.
ND Pro 2020 Hutter also went 1-3. Two of those losses came at the hand of two other Dakota programs in Missouri River Elite and SD Network
SD Attack finished off the tournament with a 2-2 record in a stacked division. Two wins came against Georgia Metros and Team Wisconsin Select. The two losses came at the hand of All Iowa Attack and Metro Stars Starks. Both of those teams are nationally recognized programs.
SD Network left the tournament with a 2-2 record. They left with some bragging rights after a win against ND Pro, a fellow Dakota program.
