Everyone loves a shooter, because they can make the game pretty and fun to watch, I must say. It is nothing like a shooter to brighten up a basketball lovers day, because the shooter is the ultimate prize for a game, shooters are always scorers and who does not like a scorer. Here we go, I will list some shooter and their information, so you can get to know them and follow their careers in high school or club basketball.
Kea Maidor
2022 5’6, SG, Bishop Blanchet HS (WA), Hoopaholics, Kea Maidor can really shoot the ball for her team. I witnessed her knock down at least four 3-pointers in each of the two games I watched her play. She has a nice stroke from about 23 feet out and can get it off quite quick for a player her size. Her form is nice and she emphasizes the follow thru, which makes her shot really nice and consistent. Kea is what we call a shotmaker, not a shot taker.
Rachel Loya
2019, 5’5, PG, Golden Sierra HS, Lady Norcal Dynasty Elite, Rachel Loya is a shooter as well, she filled it up from the outside in the two games we watched her play this past weekend. She has a quick release and her teammates found her each and every time to make the shot. She could shoot off the catch as well as take her opponent of the dribble. We were really impressed with her game ove this weekend.
Kendall Pickford
2022, 5’8, PG, Lake City HS (WA), Spokane Stars Red, Kendall Pickford is what we call a shotmaker, not just a shooter, she can really fill it up from the outside. We watched her one time and she was shot for shot with her opponent and just plain made shot from the perimeter. She is different than the others, she has size and a nice basketball body, so this could possibly assist her in playing at the next level. She made shot that coaches love, she came off screens and could pull up off the dribble.
Sophia Santangelo
2021. 5’10. SF, Villa Park HS, OC Rhythm Gold, Sophia Santangelo can shoot the ball from deep, she is a catch and shoot player with some size, being 5’10, gives her some attributes others do not have, she can catch and get her shot off quick. Not much of a pull up shooter, but when the coach can set her up with a nice screen or an inbound screen, she is nothing but money.
Crystal Menjivar
2020, 5’5, PG, St. Pius St. Matthias HS, OC Rhythm Gold, Crystal Menjivar can shoot the ball for her team, saw her come in off the bench and make shots, hit three-pointers and get to the rim. She hit three, three pointers in one of the games that impressed us, because of her height and size. She is tenacious and is always on the attack, she can be a force for her team if she keeps her focus, nice stroke on her shot.
