I stress over and over that talent is everywhere, if yo know what you’re looking at which is why I stress the importance of turning in rosters, complete non-erroneous rosters yet even in NCAA Certified events I always find errors. One thing I try to do is see as many players as possible in a variety of settings and watching several over the past few days has me ready to add and adjust my class Rankings and Watch-List for Prep Girls Hoops and here are a few
Molly Kaiser2020
Molly Kaiser-5’8 PG Nike Team Select (Saginaw HS) she created plenty of buzz during Summer Elite Championship playing against some of the top players in the country and there were probably 50-70 college coaches floating around watching a kid from another team and this is what I stress over and over, college coaches look for players, not who you play with but what do I know about this other than everything relevant. Poised under pressure ,ability to run a team and a consistent midrange game was what I saw as I glimpsed at her and then it clicked, I wrote this 2 years ago “Molly Kaiser-guard (Nike Texas Select) talented guard whose athleticism combined with a tad of acrobatics was something to see. Went behind her back and changed hands for the and one, while in the air but numerous finishes with contact showed me something. Can score from outside as well as defend” s now you have the picture but the ink wasn’t dry for Prime Time Nationals as she simply showed she could take over a game and put her team on her back while taking the label #BEAST because that is exactly what she is
2021
Aniyah Johnson-6’2 P (Lady Drive Nation Gravely 2021) long and athletic is always a key but her energy level stays up as she can guard in the pant or on the perimeter and watching her leave from under the basket and intercept numerous passes was something to see, attribute that to excellent timing and what’s even more impressive is the fact that she can regroup nicely. She finishes, blocks shots and rebounds
2022
Donovia Hall-5’9 G (Lady Athletic Elite) caught her with another squad a couple of years ago, here;s a flashback “Donovia Hall (GBD1 2021) she’s a 2022 playing up, she’s at least 5’9 and grabs rebounds on one end and going coast to coast to score on the other in dramatic fashion. She’s strong enough to play HS ball now, doesn’t shy from physicality and she showed she can step out and drop the mid and long range” and we fast forward to today, watching her maturity only adds fuel to the fire. She understands that she can take over a game a blink of an eye or get hers in the flow
2023
Jules LeMendola -6’0 F (Hurricanes Dallas) saw her a few months ago flying through the air and I’m thinking to myself, WOW and after moving a little closer I wrote this “Jules LaMendola (Hurricanes Dallas) definitely showed she was more than a tropical storm as she scored abundantly on a variety of ways. Long and athletic, creates under pressure” add that she is now taking games completely over, on either end as she is showing signs of not only being a big time HS player but one at the next level as well and I’m talking about D1
