There are a ton of talented wings in the 2020 class throughout Iowa and at the top sits Shateah Wetering. Wetering is an athletic wing who can play multiple spots on the floor and can score the ball at a high level. Wetering has a tremendous amount of skill and athleticism which boosts her up the list. She can play both in the post or out on the perimeter. Wetering is committed to Iowa and is going to be a very good four year player for them. Adrianna Katcher is the other player in the 2020 top ten and thus finds herself right behind Wetering. Katcher is a really lengthy and bouncy wing who plays more of a point-forward role in high school and AAU. She’s a shot maker who creates space well for herself and can facilitate the ball when she’s needed to. She is committed to Southern Illinois.
Outside of the top ten, I think that Bailey Winter is going to be able to move up the rankings the fastest. She’s a big wing who can really shoot the ball but she’s also very good defensively. I really like her ability to make plays for her team but doesn’t do it quite as consistently as I would like yet. She has a high ceiling and this upcoming season will be big for her development. I could see colleges from all levels taking a look at her.
