Hannah Matthews- 6’1 P (Centerville) I knew she had plenty of tools to work with, size, physicality and that a great work ethic plus she finished with players hanging on her, in the 7th grade. She gave me one of the biggest compliments from a player as I was talking to some parents at PBR Super 64 and she told those parents “this dude is the real deal. He told me to keep working and playing hard, I had the potential to play D1 ball” and she did and she will as she committed to Abilene Christian and is one of the top 2020 players in Texas
Nicole Leff-6’1 P (Cedar Park) strong and physical applies to her as well and she loves contact, in fact she relishes it as she gives and receives and her power in the paint plus her finesse from the outside makes her a threat in so many ways that her HS team will be in the mix to make a run in the playoffs if everyone stays healthy. She’s already committed to Texas State , needless to say she’s one of the Top 2020 players in Texas
Jade Thompson-5’8 G (Denton Guyer) I love the way she elevates on her jumper and they say a picture is worth a thousand words, well you have the picture.Strong and athletic, she creates her shot in tight situations and wants it in the clutch which got her added to Texas Top 100 in 2020 as well as her relentless defense baseline to baseline
’20 Jade Thompson
Mariya Scott-5’8 PG (A&M Consolidated) one of the most underrated 2020 players in Texas, not by me, be she captured my attention a few years ago because I love point guards that get it done, either by setting teammates up for baskets or taking over when needed. Her poise on the court is a plus, she understands how to run a team
Chineala Umeh-5’7 G (St Agnes) explosiveness second to none as she attacks the basket strong, plays passing lane and falls into that “never takes a play off” type of player. this was actually my first look and when you leave a lasting impression with me, that’s pretty huge and she will be among the Top 2021 Texas players when I update
Aliyah Collins-5’6 G (College Station) stop and pop has always been there, she understands how to score multiple ways and plays with so much energy, on both ends of the court. I love the fact that she wants to get better and works on whatever she feels she needs to and she’s among those being added to the Top 2022 Texas player list
Tabatha Johnson-6’2 P (The Mix) right team name because TJ has been in the mix for some time and when I caught her playing as a 6th grader with her Lady Wolfpack club team, I knew “big” things were coming. Her power on the inside was there and the scary part is it’s nowhere near the finished product but she showed me two things extra, she stepped out and nailed the midrange and defended on the perimeter. The incoming freshman will join three of her club teammates at Whitney HS and be added among the Top 2023 Texas players
’23 Tabatha JohnsonMakenzie Askew-5’8 G (Frisco Memorial) one of those freshmen I’ll be adding to the 2023 list when I update the rankings, she’s explosive and can just score in droves. Huge upside, her athleticism will help add fuel to already hot fire she brings on both ends
Molly Ly-5’6 G (Cedar Park) when you just go completely off as a 6th grader playing up, I usually remember especially if you were playing up against some heavy hitters. Her knack for hanging the air just amazes me with countless pictures I’ve already captured her doing just that but this young lady is smooth as silk. Unlimited range and just attacks at will plus her club team just won USJN Championship in 16U division so remember, it’s not what you do, it’s who you do it against and more importantly, who sees you doing it
